Dear Volunteer(s),
Thank you so much for your willingness to volunteer to help those affected by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina.
Because of the type of work we are doing, we are not able to use volunteers under 16 years of age. Those 16 & 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

ARRIVAL INFORMATION:
If you are staying on site for overnight or multiple days, please plan to arrive by 6:00 pm for supper but no later than 10:00 pm on your scheduled date of arrival. Arriving by 6:00 pm will allow you time to eat, get to know a few of the volunteers, and get settled in.
SUPPLIES AND DONATIONS INFORMATION:
Please do not bring any supplies or donation items.
There has been an overwhelming amount of supplies and donated items pouring into the Western North Carolina areas from churches, individuals, and businesses. Our Recovery Sites do not have the space to handle donations.
FUEL INFORMATION:
Due to potential fuel shortages in Western North Carolina, please make sure your vehicles are fully fueled before you leave Central NC and bring as much fuel as you can in DOT safe fuel containers for your vehicles.
ROUTE INFORMATION:
Please verify your travel routes at drivenc.gov prior to leaving. This has the most up-to-date information from NCDOT.
OUT OF STATE VOLUNTEERS:
Out of State Volunteers: If you are from a state other than NC, you can bring your state's DR approved paperwork. If you do not have paperwork, then complete the NC paperwork in the packet and bring it with you.
Thank you again for serving!!
